South Korea KC Safety Updates for Lithium Batteries

The Korean Agency for Technology and Standards (KATS) has updated safety requirements for RC devices using lithium batteries.

KATS has introduced enhanced safety testing for lithium-ion batteries used in consumer electronics. This update focuses on thermal runaway protection and cycle life stability. Manufacturers must obtain the revised KC certification before shipping updated products to South Korea.
