FCC Updates Part 15 Rules for 6GHz Band

The FCC has adopted new rules to expand unlicensed use in the 6 GHz band. These rules are designed to facilitate the deployment of next-generation Wi-Fi and other unlicensed technologies while protecting incumbent licensed services. The new rules allow for standard-power unlicensed operations in the 5.925-6.425 GHz and 6.525-6.875 GHz sub-bands under the control of an automated frequency coordination (AFC) system.
