USA: FCC Lab Recognition Overhaul
The FCC has initiated a rulemaking process to tighten the requirements for laboratory recognition. This specifically targets labs in jurisdictions without a formal Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) with the United States.
Manufacturers currently relying on non-MRA labs should begin evaluating transition plans to accredited TCBs and laboratories within MRA partners to avoid potential certification bottlenecks in late 2026.
